Influential
Media is a Manchester
based production company run by Creative Directors Mike Swindells &
Bob Sandy.
|
|
|
|
Mike formed the company in 2003 to specialise in producing music videos for acts such as
Ash and Space together with various other projects for EMI Music,
Atlantic Records and BBC Television.
|
|
|
|
Bob joined the company in late 2008 to
spearhead a push into full-time television production by developing new,
exciting and innovative programmes.
|
|
|
|
Influential Media secured their first commission in May 2009.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Mike Swindells:
|
|
|
|
Over the past 12 years Mike has
worked in both television and music video production as a producer and
director.
|
|
|
|
Having spent most of his television
career at the BBC, Mike has worked across a range of programming from
Entertainment and Features to Religion and Current Affairs.
|
|
|
|
Mike went on to specialise in making observational documentaries and after spending
time filming everyone from the fire fighters of Manchester to Lulu in Kosovo, he then
decided to move into music video production.
|
|
|
|
Mike has also continued to
freelance and recently produced and directed an episode of the BBC One
documentary series 'The Fire Detectives' aswell
as four episodes of the true crime series Nightmare In
Suburbia for the Crime and Investigation Network.

|
Bob Sandy:
|
|
|
|
Bob has worked in television
production for 12 years and is an established series producer and
producer. Over the last five years he has produced over 28 hours of programming
for a wide variety of broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, Five,
Sky One, Discovery and Bravo.
|
|
|
|
Bob has produced observational,
current affairs, social history and archive-based documentaries and has
experience of both high budget/one off documentaries and low budget/high
volume series.
|
|
|
|
His producer/director credits
include Ultimate Game Show Moments (Channel 4), Politicians Behaving
Badly (Five), Dangers in the Sky (Discovery/Five), World’s Deadliest
Gangs (Bravo/Five), Spend It Like
, When Managers Go Mad and
Football Years (Sky One).

His series producer credits include
MacIntyre’s Toughest Towns
(Five), Three Lions (Sky One) and Short Takes (Discovery Network).

|
Bob has also executive produced on
a number of programmes including How Money
Ruined the Beautiful Game and Britain’s Top 20
Managers (Bravo).
